Selmans visit DC!

My parents came to visit for 5 days. It was my dad's first time to DC and i must say - we had a complete BLAST! It was so nice- Sie & I both took time off so we could really enjoy their time here.

We did so much in the short time they were here- but there's still so much to see & do, so they've got to come back soon. Highlights of the trip were the Lincoln memorial/all the downtown Monuments, "the simulator", Dupont Circle, Mount Vernon & of course... the Cherry Blossoms!

We loved having them- I always feel lucky that my parents are so much fun! By far the best part was just getting to catch up, laugh (which we did a LOT of), eat good food, relax & enjoy eachother's company. :) One night we ate at Rays the Classics in Silver Spring- some of the best steak i've ever had! (and thats saying something being from Texas!) Rays the Classics

We've already started making a list for all the fun places we want to go NEXT time they come. High on the list for next time is Rays Hellburger- an AMAZING hamburger joint (honestly, maybe the best I've ever had).

Even the President recently tried it out! (which of course caused quite a stir in DC- everyone loved it!) He's done a really good job of getting out to small locally-owned businesses, which I think is great for the area. Here's the video of the President & Vice President getting some burgers. :)
Obama, Biden Go Out for Burgers

** my favorite part of the video is that Biden is suddenly no where to be found when the check comes! HAHA!** (jk!)
