DC Drag Queen High Heel Race

So we heard about this crazy event, called the DC Drag Queen race & decided- we gotta see this! The race takes place each year in Dupont (our neighborhood), about 4 blocks from where we live so we decided to have a pre-party at our house. :)

We served:
- meatballs in chipotle
- weenies in bbq
- trio of dips
- rainbow skittles

and... our cocktail? why of course, FUZZY NAVELS! haha. notice a theme? a little tribute to the ahem, "ladies"!

We headed over to the event and had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!

I have never seen so many people packed into the street- somehow we SQUEEZED through & got tons of pictures with the ladies themselves. Here are some of our favs:

We thought we were NEEEEEEEEVER going to see a Drag Queen when finally, the crowds parted and - yes, this first gal was sporting a moustache and terribly misplaced false eyelashes :) (men dont have years of drill team and halloween parties to practice putting on falsies i guess!) I'm way too excited to see her/him!

And of course, Elizabeth Arden and her red door... I loved how themed these ladies were!

and by far my favorite- with her skin tight leggings & long cigarette who said before we took this picture, "Make sure you get the TIFFANYS bag!"
